  1. Trip to Prague: To Janna with love – A delightful trip with an exceptionally accommodating, knowledgeable and charmingly humorous guide. Thank you for our Germany + Czech Republic memories.

  2. Dear Janna, We really enjoyed the tour yesterday. It was nice to be off the beaten path with sites we wouldn’t have found on our own, like the Otto Weidt workshop and the place where you go dancing…Thanks again for a lovely day! Sheila and Tom

  3. We did enjoy the tour very much. Janna was an excellent guide and companion and adjusted the tour to my mother pace so she did not get tired. The final return to Berlin in boat was a really nice touch. via toursbylocals.com

  4. Visit to Memorial Concentration Camp Sachsenhausen: Janna conducted a fantastic tour for us! She was well organized, very pleasant and easy to talk with, and her English was excellent. Her thoughtful description of the situation faced by camp inmates allowed us to understand, perhaps as well as one can without actually having been there, what their existence was like. Although visiting a concentration camp is a very sobering experience, we had a great time getting to know Janna and gaining an understanding of some of Germany’s history. Via toursbylocals.com

  5. Fabulous tour guide! Janna was exactly what our tour group was looking for. Very knowlegable, professional, pleasant, and punctual. Janna was able to give us a good overview of Berlin in our customized tour. Jeff S. via http://www.toursbylocals.de, Feb 2013

  6. Janna was great to work with us on recommending a hotel for some of our tour group to use. Her knowledge of world war II and how the Nazis had impacted Berlin was amazing. She also had a huge command of the history of German royalty.

  7. My tour with Janna gave me an insight in to Berlin’s past that I would not have discovered on my own. Unpromising-looking courtyards that I would have walked past were the gateways to some wonderful old buildings and their secret interiors; an atmospheric ballroom, a disused synagogue that now houses a spectacular restaurant under an ornate dome, and a silent movie theatre are just some examples. Janna’s portfolio of photographs of old Berlin were very illuminating too. Altogether an excellent tour. Adrian M. via http://www.toursbylocals.de, Oct. 2012

  9. Janna – just wanted to thank you for being such a wonderful Berlin tour guide and hostess for Amy and me in May. You’ve got the perfect combination of knowledge, energy and warm personality to be a tremendous success in your line of work. Our trip to Berlin and Potsdam could not have been more enjoyable and more interesting, all thanks to you. The ‘Topography of Evil’ exhibit, for example, was really informative and chilling. Don’t hesitate to use us as a reference if ever the need arises. Here’s wishing you all the best in the days and months to come and hope our paths cross again somewhere down the road! Hugh P., 2010

  10. Dear Janna, I am now back in London and would like to thank you so much for the wonderful insight you gave us into Berlin and its remarkable history. We all enjoyed it enormously. We loved meeting you and felt that we benefited greatly from your knowledge and the way that you delivered it. We were also very grateful for your very thoughtful idea of booking lunch for us on Sunday – it was perfect. So a big thank you from us all!
